| Carousel Farms offers an extensive Youth Program:
Private Lessons: We offer private lessons for children starting as young as 4 years old. (Current Rates) All lessons are geared toward not only the mastery of riding skills but also building knowledge of horses and horse care. Answering the age old question of "WHY?" we do all the strange things we do around horses helps kids to retain what they've learned and put it in perspective, not only on horseback, but in daily life as well. Gift Certificates for lessons are available upon request. Horse Shows: New for 2011: we are adding the Chaps & Breeches and Horseman's Riding Club Horse Show Series to our calendar! Horse shows are a wonderful experience for students: they learn about riding in a group, show off what they've learned at home, and have a great time both riding and cheering each other on! If you're interested in showing, please let your trainer know as soon as possible - the show season is sneaking up on us very quickly and we will need to plan accordingly! Summer Horse Camp: 2011 Summer Horse Camp Dates: June 27th through July 1st ~ July 25th through 29th ~ August 15th through 19th All camps are 10am - 2pm with a light lunch included. Kids will learn riding skills and basic horsemanship. All camps conclude with an in house horse show! Beginners welcome!!! $300 for the week, $50 non-refundable deposit required to hold your space. Kids who attend all three camps will receive a $75 credit for the last camp. 4-H Horse Project: Merry-Go-Riders 4-H Horse Club meets at Carousel Farms.
